The Royal Mint has released a £2 coin commemorating the extraordinary work and legacy of inventor, scientist and engineer, Alexander Graham Bell!
As well as being an incredible teacher and advocate for the deaf, Bell is most famed for his groundbreaking invention: the telephone.
Hidden message in the reverse design
Cleverly represented through artist Henry Gray’s reverse design, the coin depicts the dial of a push-button phone alongside hidden text which spells out the words ‘PIONEER OF THE TELEPHONE’!
Struck to a Brilliant Uncirculated Quality, meaning it is free of the scratches and marks found on circulating coinage, your £2 coin will arrive protectively sealed in a bespoke Royal Mint presentation pack.
