2021 Queen Elizabeth II 95th Birthday Five Pound Crown Brilliant Uncirculated Coin In Folder

In 2021, HM Queen Elizabeth II reached a remarkable milestone, becoming the first British monarch to celebrate her 95th birthday. Her long life and reign were celebrated across a range of Royal Mint coins in this year including a special sovereign design and a range of other commemorative coinage. This pre-owned coin is the brilliant uncirculated cupro-nickel £5 edition, which is housed in limited edition packaging. The future Queen was born on the 21st April, 1926 as Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary of York. She became heir presumptive in 1936 on the abdication of her uncle, King Edward VIII and acceded to the throne in 1952 on the death of her father, King George VI. This commemorative coin features a classic design by the experienced Royal Mint engraver, Timothy Noad. The Queen’s royal cypher is crowned in the centre of the reverse, with the flowers of each representative nation of the United Kingdom blossoming in the background. The bottom inscription on the reverse reads: ‘MY HEART AND MY DEVOTION’, referencing a promise the Queen made in her 1957 Christmas message to the nation – the very first to be televised. Noad’s design is paired with Jody Clark’s definitive coinage effigy of Her Majesty to the obverse, which is the 5th portrait of her to appear on UK coinage. This coin weighs 28.28 grams, measures 38.61 millimetres in diameter and is struck to a brilliant uncirculated standard, which is perfect for coin collectors. A brilliant memento for any follower of the British royal family.
